Environmental Licensing can be carried out by CETESB in the State of São Paulo or, when available, with the municipality.
At CETESB we have three phases for licensing:
a) Preliminary License;
b) Installation License; and
c) Operation License.
The Preliminary and Installation licenses can be requested together through the website: Portal do Licenciamento Ambiental – PLA
As companies that exercise a Potentially Polluting activity according to Normative Instruction No. 11 and No. 12, of April 2018, they must be registered with IBAMA and pay as corresponding fees.
